Ok, i dont plan on getting a compressor before doing all o this i was just throwing some stuff in there just incase since i will have extra circuits left, If i run the switch off of this fuse panel and just connect it to a relay that triggers the compressor then that's fine correct? I plan to run any lights i add off relays and then probably a compressor when i get one etc. I mainly want this to be power for switches and little 12v accessories.
Any lights or compressors should have their own harness. You can trigger them off one of your 6 switches that see run through the panel.
Well....I got home today and my headlights were all fogged up I though I got a good set, they have been on for several months without an issue. Since I have to open the lights up and reseal them I might do an hid retrofit now like Justin did. It's kinda funny how I was looking into retrofits again today though lol.
If your planning on doing it yourself, I would consider the ds2 kit or the h1 kit. Both are great from what I've seen. However, lightwerkz cut out the back of the reflector and did a complete professional un-reversible retrofit. Mine in theory could've be undone.
If I had that insight now I probably would've opted for the fx-r kit which has the same benefits as the ds2 mini (real oem bulb options), and just had it done knowing that the housing was cut up.
But even with all that hindsight. I absolutely LOVE how everything turned out with my truck and do not for a second regret anything that I did, the other kits just would've been more expandable I guess you could say.
If I had to do it again I don't think I would do the work myself just because it takes a long amount of time and I tend to get anxious which is probably why it didn't seal correctly. But if I was dead set on doing it myself I would choose the h1 or ds2 kit for ease of install. If I got it done professionally I would get the fx-r kit because they cut everything anyway.
Thanks Justin! i have been looking around on TSR's website for a while deciding what to do. I do still have my old headlights that were chrome on the inside so i can install those while i retrofit the current ones and have them how i like, but I'm the same way and get anxious to finish things. I had planned to cut the back of the reflector and everything after watching one of their instructional video's because worst case i can remove a reflector from my spare set to repair it.
If i go this route what would you guys think of painting the reflectors to match the outside of my truck? I would do a flat grey not a glossy one.
man not sure sure how i lost track of this thread.... truck is looking good! those 08 door panels are sweet, i have that black fuel door too , and of course the new mirrors are awesome. adding more items to the wish list... lol

Thanks man! I'm starting to get the final pieces for my 08 dash as well! Did you gas door fade at all? mine did after a few months so i might have the body guy that painted my truck respray it when i eventually get flares.

it did, i may touch it up a bit.
awesome, can't wait to see the dash come together
where did you get your smoked tail lights? i got some off ebay a couple weeks ago and installed them, but have been too busy/lazy to take pics lol
Where that black fuel door come from? I've seen covers, does that replace the oem door?
Its and RBP fuel door, it completely replaces the door and has a lock on it. It can be easily disassembled to paint or anything all the bolts come out and you can remove the nut that holds the lock cylinder in place.

ah yes, i looked back at the pic again and saw the RBP "star" logo.... i guess mine is a bit different
I do too but I'm trying to figure out if its too much black for the front end and if I'll be better off leaving the reflectors chrome and painting the shroud black to kinda keep the Harley look since the beam adjuster is black on he normal lights.
