Thanks! Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to paint the whole truck right now since I ran out of time at school. I have to take it home tomorrow so I just trimmed it in so I can put it back together and drive it. The primer white doesn't looks too bad on it anyhow lol
Frame has been swapped I guess. It's too wide and the T-case is married. The cab is the original though because the VINs match the highboy code and the filler neck hole has a patch panel visible from the inside.
I have a '75 250 highboy my dad bought brand new, and it's frame is wider than most. We're thinking the factory slapped a 350 or larger frame under that body. I don't know how many leaf springs there are, as I'm not home to count them, but there are quite a few. A 75 would have what I think is called a ball and knuckle on the front end with drums, also the steering will have a gear box on top of the frame with hoses running to a slave arm. Your 460 is out of a car, I have a 429 out of Mercury Monterey and we had to trim the frame because we used the stock manifolds. (This was mentioned earlier.) Just some things to look at, also mentioned, is that the truck is close to 40 years old, so who knows what may have been done to it. Continue to make it your own and how you want it!! Good luck!
So, has anybody on this forum done this swap? I'd prefer that smoother look with black gaskets and everything on mine. I'm getting rid of the chrome strips on the windshield, so it'd be nice to do it the back as well. Installing Back Glass | FordMuscle.com
I have a sliding back glass in my '75 with just the black gasket. Very clean looking.
I noticed that you filled in your antenna hole. What did you do for an alternative?
There's a kit in LMC that has a box you put under your dash or somewhere and acts as your antenna, I'll be getting one of those and mounting it in the roof on the passenger side, running the cable down the pillar, since the dome light and cab lights will be on the other side. I don't listen to the radio much, but it'll be there when I need it. It's only $30 or so I believe.
Is that GT steering wheel going to be permanent? Reason I ask is that I used to have one on mine, and it was such a pain in the butt to have take an extra 1.5 turns compared to big steering wheel to get to over to or close to the steering limits.

It's going away as soon as funding allows me to get the new 15" I have picked out. I hate the tiny gokart wheel
Well I did some wiring today, rewiring that is. Got everything but signals and reverse lights working properly. Hazards work, highs, lows, brakes, markers, everything but reverse and signals. I have the signals narrowed down to the switch in the column I'm pretty sure. The reverse lights however I'm not sure. I jumped a wire on the plug under the hood which is what I though you were supposed to do? I may be confusing my C6 with the manuals. They come on when I turn the key and just stay on.
