Cab is a 77 lol couldn't save the vin unfortunately, I'll probably end up removing it or something idk. I'd prefer not to paint over it again as it looked half assed.
Tried to order a bunch of stuff today, but couldn't get it through the school. Gotta replace my fender apron when I do my motor, but they couldn't get that. They couldn't get cab and core support bushings and hardware either, and I'd like to do both on Christmas break, I'm thinking JBG, but is there a better place out there? LMC is out of the question, they're too proud of their stuff lol. And since Ford wanted $100 for SuperDuty cab lights without the harness, I'm getting them off a truck in the scrap yard, then replacing the bulbs and lenses. Almost went with recon, but heard some bad reviews.
Picked up my set of superduty lights today, not in too bad of shape, they need a little cleaning and they'll do for now. Got all 5 lights, harness too, for $50 so I'm happy. I can still LED swap and get new lenses and be money ahead on recon or stock Ford. I much prefer the sleeker look over stock on these.
So, has anybody on this forum done this swap? I'd prefer that smoother look with black gaskets and everything on mine. I'm getting rid of the chrome strips on the windshield, so it'd be nice to do it the back as well. http://www.fordmuscle.com/2007/05/in...ng-back-glass/

I have not done it, but man that looks good. That definitely just made my list of future mods that I want to do.

Yeah it looks like a much better looking option. As much as I like chrome, I can't stand it on my windows lol

Just going to do rings and reseal it all. Probably a cam too. Stumbled upon a dent graveyard today(can't disclose the location, per owners wishes) but anyways he was telling me about head variations, and what to look for, got back to the house, and was pleased to find this...
From what I've learned, the high boys have a cross member between the front leaf spring shackles, I might be wrong.
I think he clarified in a previous post that the frame is not a highboy frame. I think he found out that the doors are off a 75, the cab a 77, and the frame a 77.5 - 79

They look like an Eagle 589, American Racing Baja or even Micky Thompson makes one similar. Very popular wheel and you should be able to find some used ones as well on craigslist.
What type of filler are you using there on the door? Looks like red lacquer finishing filler to me but I could be wrong. Thought I saw some duraglass on some of the spots too.
Do you know what kind of rim is on your truck? Im looking for something similar for mine.
