Truck won The Retrofit Source's "Retro of the Week" competition! Pretty excited about that as it beat out some pretty stiff competition. I guess it was just because it was so unique, but either way I'll take it!

Awesome man!!! CONGRATS!
I'll have to say, when I first saw them by themselves, I really wasn't a fan. Once you had it completed and the grille done it looks great man. Might even be something I copy for those dark Alaskan nights.
I have the Hella E-Codes and Osram bulbs to try at first.
In all seriousness, great job on mixing some new modern stuff with old school technology.

Thank you! Those Osram bulbs should be really good, I'll eventually upgrade these to osrams somewhere down the road.
Well bad news on the engine front. My uncle came to try to turn over my 429 today and said its locked up the worst he's seen. The pistons are seized up solid so I'm going to have to cut the rods and punch them out. So I'm either going to salvage the crank and put it in my 460 block, or just rebuild the 460, not sure yet just going to have to pull it apart and assess the situation.
Why do you have to cut the rods? Cant you just break up the pistons and remove the rods? Pull the main caps, rod caps and remove the crank, then break up the pistons?

Well he said he pulled the main caps and rod caps, i think is what he said, and told me to torch the rods and punch out the pistons. But I'm not really sure what exactly he did because I'm at school, I'll see what I'm dealing with Friday when I get back.
Finally got a chance to look at my motor today. The crank isn't in terrible shape it doesn't look like. Just the way the rods are they have it held in pretty tight still. To tried busting the pistons out without much luck, but I didn't have much time to really mess with it
