Painted the lower valence yesterday and then used my spare grille as a mock up to try to see what color scheme to go with not sure if I should leave the chrome outline or go all black.
I'm not a big fan of chrome. My 08 F350 only had the factory chrome F350 FX4 Decals on the side of the front fenders. I removed the chrome rims and installed black/machined rims. My grill was black from the factory and I had a dark charcoal bumper and wheel well caps...
That being said... You had an earlier picture of your truck where you blacked out the grill... I didn't like that look on your truck. I was exceptionally interested in it because I was curious about doing it on my 2000 F250 as well. But, decided to keep my chrome bumper/grill after seeing yours blacked out.
Well the other day I washed my truck at the self wash because the auto was closed and my headlights got condensation. Yesterday I took them off and cycled them every 8 minutes in the oven to dry everything out. And took dap clear and tried to reseal everything that could potentially leak. But unfortunately this morning the passenger side had condensation again. its really depressing especially because they were in for two weeks or more and no condensation and in that time I had been through the auto car wash several times. So Sunday I'll be chasing down this leak a third time.
On a separate note. I added LED "running board" lights I bought the 5m strip that other members have a mounted sections down the rocker panel anove the running board and tapped into the overhead light circuit so whenever those come on the leds come on.
As you can see they're really bright look awesome when you unlock your truck in a dark parking lot
I still have about 2 2' sections that I will be adding wires to and putting them under the hood attached to the hood circuit for more light when working on the truck because you can never have to much light
Very nice! that's unfortunate about your headlights though, at least it did ruin the conversion you did. As how are you going to hook up the lights under the hood? Are you going to use the current wires for the bulb under there and then use a toggle switch? My bulb is out and i replaced it but had no luck so i believe my switch is gone, adding LED's would be nice for some light under there though at night.

I'm planning on pulling the bulb and tapping the current circuit. So it will operate exactly as factory but with it being right next to the battery it would not be to hard to wire it up independently if you wanted to do that instead of replacing the angle switch

Awesome, cant wait to see the pics of this install! I might just get a new factory tilt switch then in my case to make it easy.
Thanks I got the idea from a member on here from monte's aux lighting thread.
Thats why I made it.

I like the big rig lights as well but i also found that like TB did i can use a downward facing white strip and then get an outward facing amber strip and hook them up for half the price. I'm still on the fence especially after their xtreme tailgate bar pretty much failing on me just after i couldn't return it anymore . The thing either gets stuck illuminated or doesn't work at all anymore.
