I haven't been able to do much to the truck recently. Winter takes most of my work away. So my paychecks drop off real bad.
But I've started the process of getting my rims. I got one, will get another 3 in July, 1 from the GF and 2 I'll buy myself when I finish paying the truck off.
Decided to go with ATX Artillery rims. They're 16x9 with a -12 offset, should put the rims right at the edge of the fender wells. Can't wait until July.
Really? Mine stick out more but we have the same set up...huh the tire shop asked if i was gonna lift the truck because the rims came with a lifted truck option so I said yes...wonder if I got a different offset.

Its warmed up a bit here in Jersey. So yesterday I took the opportunity to change things up a little bit and explore the door rust that's been forming.
I took the reflectors out of the LED fogs I have and painted them black. I like the look better and as far as I can tell I have no loss of brightness or pattern.
I do need to repaint the housings, the salt ate them up pretty bad surprisingly.
I also took the lower wind canceling things off the door and wire brushed down the rust that's been eating the doors.
This is the drivers side rear door and is the worst of all 4 by far the outside and inside skins are not attached anymore.
The two front doors look like this
And the rear passenger door has nothing, no rust!
I'm thinking of probably grinding everything down and herculining the inside and about 1-2" of the bottom of the outside and then body color over top of it. I think as long as it doesn't get much worse, this should repair and prevent this in the future.
Damn man that's bad! you can POR it then use a primer and paint the same color blue over the POR if you want. I would also do something with the inside because that's where it starts, I'm personally thinking since i put POR on the outside and inside that i still might do what was suggested in another thread and tape off the drain plugs then pour POR into the door until it reaches the holes and let it harden. I may even cover the holes and drill through the POR so that where i have rust up to is completely covered.
I love what you did to the fogs, do you have a close up picture? I can't really see i that well.

That's a pretty good idea, I may have to try that. And I can get another picture when I get back to my truck.
Thanks, How are your fender mounts just inside the fender right in front of the door when you open it? My drivers side one is trashed, if your is still good might as well get at it before it gets bad.
