So you didn't lose any light output doing that? It's gloss black correct?
Technically I had to have lost light output. By going from chrome to black the reflectivity drops. But as far as I can tell its not much. I could still drive without my headlights on if I wanted to.
What about tinting the lens would that effect it just about the same? I wanted to get a light bar and place it behind my grille but make it hidden somewhat so it's not big and noticeable.
It could be something you could try, I know with a lot of bars you can but replacement lenses, but depending on how dark you want to make it it'll definitely dip off the brightness
Okledlightbar.com the next set I buy will probably be either be tuffstuff bar from amazon or ledwarehouse bar. I'm not entirely thrilled with the paint quality on these. 7 months and its already chipping
I fitted up the rim on the truck to make sure there were no fitment issues.
I think it should look pretty sweet when they're all mounted up.
Also painted my grille body color. It came out much brighter then I expected, I think the chrome from underneath brightened it up. I'll probably sand it down and primer it to get a better match.
I haven't been able to do much to the truck recently. Winter takes most of my work away. So my paychecks drop off real bad.
But I've started the process of getting my rims. I got one, will get another 3 in July, 1 from the GF and 2 I'll buy myself when I finish paying the truck off.
Decided to go with ATX Artillery rims. They're 16x9 with a -12 offset, should put the rims right at the edge of the fender wells. Can't wait until July.

I didnt know March is the new July. Those wheels look good though. Definately a great addition.
