Headlights yes. Most likely HD with retrofit projectors. And I'm undecided as to what the grill will be. Either mine body color or plasti dipped or 05 body color
Well that happened faster then I thought it would...
Ordered 05-07 HD replicas (Ebay link) and TRS H1 Projector kit with 4300k xb35 H1 bulbs.... Now the first hard part, waiting.... supposed to be here between Friday and Monday.
The second hard part will be separating the headlights to do the install.
Awesome! post put pics and a how to if you got time, i would love to do this to my HD style headlights!..just gotta build up the courage to cut em up lol

Yeah we'll see how much courage it takes to pop them open. Then i have to cut up the header panel to put them in... Lots of Modification for this, Oh well the ends will justify the means.

Agreed, I have had the cheap HID's for a while (did them in high school) and I'm starting to wish i waited to do anything to my truck until i started to care more lol. much better quality with retro's vs my high school self that wanted HID's like all the other kids...you live and you learn i guess.

I've been there and done that before as well. I had a 97 explorer that i went through 3 different stages of HID kits, offroad lights, moving the fog lights around, LEDs in various places. Then it broke down and I was able to borrow my parents Mazda 3 which had factory HIDs which are really nice, but low beam only, and now my Mom's Edge has the Bi-xenon which pretty much sold it for me. Light output is outrageous.
Projector kit came in yesterday, HD headlights should be in later today. This weekend I will be planning on diving into the retrofit. I'm thinking of painting all of the reflectors glosses black and the shroud satin. Only potential issue with that it's I don't know how the Turns will work.
Nice cant wait to see them! If you paint he reflectors gloss black i think LED turn signals are your best bet because they have multiple light sources and are brighter. The video i posted a few posts back has painted reflectors with LED turn signals they seem plenty bright enough. Post pics of your process!
I have both headlights open, and 1 projector mounted and 1 shroud curing. This is definitely a scary process. Already bungled up a little bit by breaking a clip on the outside of the second headlight and i scratched the lense of the first before i opened it. But it's moving forward, should probably be done with the lens retrofit in another few hours. I am taking a few pictures here and there, but I'll post them up when I'm done.
I'm very happy with how everything came out. I still have to switch the High and low beam pins on the HID Harness. I'm also not sure if i'm going to keep the 4300k bulbs. I believe I'm going to switch to 5000k bulbs for the color match to the LED fogs. Light output is great, once they're aimed a little better it will be perfect.
