Justin how much did thta run you? Now that my interior is literally all apart except for the carpet I have been thinking about doing some sound deadening while its out.
I was just thinking the same thing. It wouldn't get any easier then now to do it.

Yes that white cotton like stuff, I was planning on ripping that out and using heavy foam matting. Clintusa has a thread on here about sound proofing and I was kinda mirroring that or at least attempting to.

I have taken my seats out once a year for the past three years and never had an issue after oiling them, first time took some force now it's easy though.
For 50mil thickness it was 54$ 80mil which is what I'll probably get for the floor was a little more like 61-62$

I agree, I probably wont do the doors right now but while the firewall, floor, and back wall are accessible I might as well do it. I had planned on trying to mimic what he did as well. didn't he do the tiles like fatmat, some ensolite from RAAM audio, then MLV on top? I will probably do the roof as well since the only thing holding it up right now are the plastic retainers and the grab handle.

Did he use something on the door panels? I thought he Velcro-ed it to the door itself in place of the plastic shield that was there, either way though it would probably help with keeping the door panels from rattling.

Cool, ill have to look it up later, I will probably run 80 mil as well on the floor.
Well... it seems like I can't catch a break. Today I was over a friend's house and needed to park on the grass. Tried putting it in 4wd and it wouldn't go. Not the first time. Played with the switch and the v truck shifted into 4hi, but the hubs won't lock. And now it won't shift out of 4hi. We checked the fuses and relays, all good. Checked all the connectors ask good. So at the dealer she sits. I'm hoping its something simple. The hubs are going to be replaced with warn premiums, tired of dealing with this esof crap. In theory its awesome, but in practice its crap, I've done the maintenance every 6 months after I had my first issue and still I have problems. Bleh.
Mine had an issue coming out of 4hi to 2 when we had snow. I eventually did something with the transmission were it must have removed the load. I think it was putting it in reverse or neutral. Sucks to hear about the ESOF. Mine doesn't work so I just use it manually, eventually I would like to get the warns as well. Either way at least you know they won't fail.
I had that same issue only I got a grinding unless I locked my hubs. I greased them and it worked gor a week then I ended up with mile markers. I might try to go back to esof bc manual is a pain but we'll see. My truck has eaten 5 sets of hubs lol.
The electric transfer case isn't a huge issue, they're robust enough that the only that usually goes wrong with them is the shift motor. its the auto hubs that just blow. There are about 5 different things that ROUTINELY go wrong with them even with maintenance done.
One of my manual hubs was frozen in the lock position when I bought mine. I solved it with a BFH and some PB blastah.
I was happy that the American Racing hub caps (because they're REAL hub cabs, not 'wheel covers' lol - that's a pet peeve of mine haha) cover them up front and back nicely. Just pop the cap, lock/unlock, click it back on.
I almost bought the nice chrome Warn ones, but now they're hidden under the caps, so NBD.
Welp... I wouldn't have gotten this one right. The reason my transfer case wouldn't shift is due to corrosion in the wire that actuated the shift motor. 5hrs of labor and 11$ in parts for a grand total of 475 and works like a dream. Now I just need to save up for warn premium hubs which are currently running at 269.99.
After doing some more research, I can't really see a difference between the warn premiums and the MM premiums besides finish and price. I don't actually know if they're made in the same factory or whatever like some prime claim, but they're both all aluminum and come with a life time warranty. For me finish isnt a huge deal because my rims are sealed and you do not see them. They're also the most cost effective option at 1/2 the price of warn and 1/2 price of one oem hub. I've ruled out super winch because the center turning section is plastic.
Thanks for the suggestions guys! No point in spending money when I don't need to.
Well I noticed the other day that my swing case was swinging on its own. The screws had ripped themselves out of the bed and the bracket was torn. I'm going to be emailing undercover to see if they'll do anything for me. I'd like a new bracket and I can always use bolts and washers to secure it when they ripped out.
