I have one, but it's one of the first things that went in the shed. Shed is full to front and top. As soon as it cools off, I'm going to re arrange, and catalogue what I have. Are you in a big hurry?
I have so many projects right now, the truck would be so far on the back burner it would go to waste.
Use it on the wrecker, that way it went to a good home.
You can come help me put the 312 tbird engine in the panel next week if your not busy.....lol
No hurry here...... I found one on epay for $230 with 5 tool holders, but thought I'd ask you first....... I can use the HSS tool holder for a while.
If I was closer I'd be over in a heartbeat to help! I've got a 53 panel project but it's going to be a major project this winter. I'm mounting it on a 73 Highboy chassis with a 460 and overdrive.......
My panel only has 20,000 miles on it. The motor blew in 1961, so the truck was parked in the corner of the barn. I got the panel, and the freshly rebuilt 312 for $5000.
Took me a year to get it, the field was muddy and I had to wait until it froze to get the rollback in there.
Panel is white, and has a factory automatic. I'm going to keep it stock, because it's a survivor
I could use a passenger seat, it only came with the one seat.
You can, I bet I have one similar, the one is my dad's from the war. I have the .38 that was part of the set too
After gramps first encounter with the Wehrmacht, outside a little place called Monte Casino, he tossed his down a well and picked up a M-1 Garand.....
At the distances in Italy, a man with a carbine or a Thompson was a dead man. They encountered no close quarter fighting in villages or towns because the Germans always preferred to hold the high ground on ridges and mountaintops and pull you into ambush at long distance.
M-1 Carbine vs. Kar 98 or Gewehr 43 at 200+ yds = you dead.
His buddy who wound up on Tarawa in the Pacific, would NEVER have given up his carbine though!
I bought my panel from my brother Erle 37 YEARS ago! For a case of beer.........lol
No stock seats at all. I've got a pair of "captains chairs" that I took out of a motorhome I'm going to use.
Next time you want to build a 312 use a 292 block. The problem with the 312 block is it uses a same bolt spacing on the Mains, and the 312 crank "mains" are larger. This creates a weak point and can cause the main cap bolts to break the bolt holes out. The trick, is to have your crank grinder grind the mains of the 312 crank to 292 specs, and use the 292 block. Makes an almost bullet-proof lower-end. Thats what I did to Harleys 312 with tri power.
He was in Okinawa, there were a lot of "sharp shooters" in the hills. It was mandatory for all pilots to have a carbine with them as well as their side arm
I have a lot of his stories, but sadly not all of them. He passed in 08 when we were sitting down and writing the stories.
One story, he was one of the escorts for Box Car ***** (Nagisaki) I'll post that story one day, with some pictures

Good to know, I have 2 292's here. Next old school project, hat's what I'll do
There's an old yard here in Md, I have to go there sooner or later. He has stuff from the 30's up to 80's. Last time I was there, he had a bunch of panels on the fence line
I need some sheet metal for my 46 chevy pick up anyway, just been putting off the road trip

See, that's the kind of info you only get from someone who was THERE..........TV, movies and the history channel will never get it.
Gramps told of being shelled for 3 STRAIGHT days, being attacked by the Italian airforce AND the Luftwaffe, and that Italian girls would do damn near anything for chocolate.
He passed in 89, we have lost so much history with these guys passing on.
Janet's dad was in Europe. He was a machinist first mate.
One of his jobs was to take the troops to shore, and return for more. He hated it, because he thought most of the marines were killed just getting to the beach from the drop off point.
Later in life, he would only give you pieces of the story, never the whole thing. I guess to protect himself from being too sad
Here's a picture of the 312 I built for Harleys 61 Unibody, and a picture of his Unibody chassis and engine. The front clip is done already, and as soon as Mikey's 65 comes off the gimble harleys uni will go on and get finished.......
Oh yea, thats Harley with the S**t eating grin...............
