I think your fuel pressure is the issue. Have you shimmed the FPR?

You guys have been a HUGE help. I was stumped. You gave me a direction to go in that I feel 95% sure is going to cure the problem. I want to thank all of y'all for your help.

No, haven't done anything yet. Waiting on those parts from Bob first. Should be here sometime Friday and I plan to do it Saturday. I want to have everything ready by then. Got to go buy some bb's. Can't think of where I can just get one. Also plan to use spray cleaner along with the Chem-Dip. Which you think is best, carb or brake cleaner?

Could the fuel pressure problem be because of a partly stopped up fuel bowl? I'm going to do the bb trick anyway, but I'm wondering if the fuel is having a hard time moving through the bowl. Prehaps the treatment is disolving the crud enough to allow fuel to flow.

Tell you what, let's do some experimenting. If I do both at once then we won't know for sure which one cured it. This could help you guys if you ever run up on a similar problem. I'll do the bb tomorrow and see what happens. Am I going to be able to get that bb in there without taking the FPR off? At this point I'm not too concerned about a minor fuel leak, got the new o-rings coming.

If you have a weak pump the BB is just gonna be a band aid

The pump is almost new, so for the moment I'm going to assume it's ok. Did the same thing with the old pump.

Well, while I was hunting that screen I went to the wrong place. I had that bolt out, spring looked fine.

The spring could just be weak too. I would shim it with the BB trick and see what happens. It is simple to do and if it doesn't work you can always pull the BB.

I'll go to the store shortly and stock up on BB's and get one in there and see what happens. I need to get it done shortly because I've got to go check a A/C on a RV.

HELP! Something has gone wrong. Finally got BB in place. My first pressure check showed around 75psi. Went to recheck it so I could look at the gauge more closely and nothing, won't even wiggle the gauge. Can tell there is little at the valve. Pulled it back apart and spring had got cocked sideways and was hung on the treads. Got it out and staightened it and reinstalled. Still nothing. Took BB back out, still nothing. Did I blow something out or what?

Could it be there was a partial clog somewhere and the higher pressure blew it loose and it stopped up elsewhere?
