Sounds to me like you may be in need of a new FPR. Ford dealer is likely the only place you're going to be able to find one unless you find one used. What is the "snubber" you're referring to? You lost me on that one... Sounds like it is running better though.

If you were able to mash on it and it didn't spit an sputter then you have more than 20psi. You might wanna try a different gauge and pull the schrader valve apart and look for trash.

The farther the plunger stays in the for the higher your fuel pressure will be

I thought about the valve, wonder ir it is stopped up. Don't think the gauge is the cause, not a lot of squirt coming from around gauge and valve when checking pressure as if there isn't much. Just finished that a/c job and drove the truck to do that, one minor problem. I do have a very slight fuel leak I've got to go back on. Runs fine so far. Switched back to untreated fuel, so let's see what happens. That snubber is referred to in the instructions fordpride put me on. Think it came from Bob. I haven't got the papers with me to look at it right now. Get that leak fixed and try another shrader I might just let things go as long as it runs like this. I'll let you know soon.

The best I can tell you on that snubber as he calls it is where you take that big c-clip off and there is this mesh screen up there and the snubber is next to it. Think it has something to do with the fuel restriction sensor.

I've got to take thr FPR back off, my leak is from that O-ring back behind that c-clip. I was at the parts store and there was another F-350 there that wasn't a power stroke. His idled smoother, is that normal?

Or an IDI (94 or older). They sound smoother too because they weren't direct injected. They don't have that sharp "ping" when the injectors fire like a PSD does. Make no mistake about it though, that smooth idle doesn't mean it is a better engine! Nothing wrong with an IDI. As long as you don't need more than 200HP they will run forever.

Lol....Apples to Grass.... That there's funny I don't care who 'ya are!

It was a diesel, I would say 94 or so. Mine shakes like a drag engine. Thought it was normal for it but wasn't certain. Ok. Redid FPR and leak seems to be gone. Know for sure when I drive it tomorrow. Damndest thing though, when I went to hook the sensor back up I couldn't find the plug. Searched 5-10 min. Gave up and decided to hunt it in the morning. I KNOW it was in front of my face. The engine seems to respond quicker now. On the way back I held it to the floor until it hit 80, ran like a champ. No takers on the spark plugs? Can't fool you guys.

Oh yea, the BB is in. I think I'm getting bad readings, running too good. Must be the shrader valve.

Let me ask you about the fuel filter light. Shouldn't it be on when the engine isn't running but the switch is on? I'm guessing it works the same as an oil light and pressure keeps it off.

If I remember correctly, it just comes on briefly for a lamp check when you first turn the key on. In fact it is a vacuum switch. It only comes on if the pressure inside the fuel bowl falls outside its operating range.

Ok, vacuum then. It does come on when I hit the starter and when I grounded the wire out. That was that wire I couldn't find for the life of me yesterday. Found it in 5 seconds today. Operates a little different that on oil switch. Thanks.

I thought if it worked like an oil switch then my sensor was bad and hadn't worked since I've owned the truck. Hadn't gave it any thought before now.

For what it's worth they don't seem to work very well anyway. At least mine doesn't. I clogged a fuel filter to the point where the truck would hardly run and the light never came on...
