Thanks. Now ... what kit(s) do I need? I'm mostly looking for OEM or slightly better. Enough to pull our pop-up and maybe a pull behind later on. If I start going much above OEM, I'd be money ahead with a new(er) truck.
Well ... it's official. The pile-o-plastic is a pile-o-something. We got our use out of it. It paid for itself many times over at least. At 198000, it's had a good life.
Any suggestions to limp it along for a bit? I'll probably post it for about $500 once I get the truck fixed.
It's day 4 of 7, getting closer to the weekend, slowly. Yes Jim, I know my schedule is kinda goofy. We rotate days off every 28 days (on a Tuesday). Sometimes my days off go from weekdays to weekends (but mostly weekdays) and I get stuck working a long stretch. SOMETIMES I get a short week between schdule changes but mostly six or seven day stretches.

Are there any additives you can throw in there to slow the leak down like Restore or something? Can't hurt anything now.

The Lucas stop slip or trans fix, can't remember the name is good stuff. Also the trans cooler needs to be replaced with a bigger one. The stock one isn't big enough for an escort. Heat is what kills those transmissions
Goodmorning Cory Jim, Dave, Mike and everyone else stopping by.
Have another odd day at work Dave.
Jim ... I'vealready tried Lucas in the truck. The plasfic pile is a Saturn. The engine on that has internal issues with oil. That's what I'm trying to limp aalong until I can fis the trans on the truck.

Transmission rebuild party? That'd get it done in a hurry...
