Never been a fan of fixes in a can but if it buys you a little time than go for it I guess.
I don't believe in them either. The car is toast. No fix in a can is going to cure the real problem. I'm just looking for something to buy time until the truck is worthy of a DD again. Luckily the amount I drive now is nothing compared to what it was.
Gonna replace the sway bar bushings on the Ex. Then wait to see what/when I work this afternoon.

old lady drove one in to a buddy's shop. oil came out in clumps. only about a quart. service guy asks when the last oil change was. it was her first. Oil was 10+ years old, and 115k miles. still ran like a champ.
I'm not going to recant my previous story, but I wouldn't hesitate driving one anywhere...
Rust kills them here. I like the looks of the 97 and up better. I had a 98 wagon that I drove for 4 years but rust got it. I bought a 97 wagon last fall to replace it
