This might be a retarded question, but i know these engines struggle to get enough air, but can you get too much air? Im asking because while thinking about what i want to do for my intake setup a sortve "outside the box" Idea came to me, that being running two intakes that come into a T pipe the usual one sitting in a boxed in area where the driver side battery usually goes, and the other one in the same sortve general area but on the other side. Would this be too much? Would it even make a hill of beans difference? Do you guys know of people that have done this?
Looking forward to it, btw, i dont know how many people use it, and thank god, i figured out how cause it has saved me so much time, but if you click on the search button you can do an advanced search, and save yourself some digging.

yep, advance search is nice. especially when you only want to search a certain part of the site.
i made mine to pull from 2 different spots... the cowl and the ram at the same time, Both use 3" pipe that then is collected in the intake box i made then goes through a 4" tube into the turbo i have pics of it in a build thread that i did ill try and find it for ya
Yes thank you for bringing that thread up! Crew-it was the one i was trying to give credit to in my thread about the air box! I for the life of me couldnt remember who it was lol! He gave me the idea to build a better box than stock but i took it one step further and designed mine to pull from the cowl and ram instead of both ram
oh i gotcha lol i thought you meant around my town as i havent been driving my truck lately lol sorry brain fart haha... yeah i have been busy with work and turning my bare basement into a finished work of art lol
Sall good on the thread jacking You guys helped me alot. But i was looking for a little more technical as far as what ratio of air to fuel mixture i should have, doesnt make much difference i have no way to test but it would still be kind of cool to know.
Theoretically, unless you have a turbo your not going to get too much air. Diesels can in fact run as lean as 100:1 though i doubt ours can with a relatively primitive injection system. Fuel is used for throttling, more air plus more fuel is more power plus more air and more fuel and you eventually wind up with one of them 1500hp monsters flowing 900cc fuel and 100lbs boost. There may have been some engine mods in there too who knows..
