I might have to look into that. Thanks Cory!

OK now we are starting to get a clearer picture of what happened but I am not sure I want to see that picture!

You know when they first came out I remember hearing something about radiator issues.

I agree lets go! You know at first I wasn't sure if that was your camper in the pic or not but then I saw the uneven taillights and then I knew it was yours!

Good afternoon Troy! Can you remember anything about them, or were they just crappy from the start and later fixed?

Well I did a quick search in the 6.4 section and there is a ton of stuff on cracked radiators and some oring issue as well.

Do a search up there and start reading up and see if it falls into what your dad's issue was and I bet it was.

Here are a couple links to Ford's TSB's on the problem.

Ya know, I was gonna say something, but I knew you guys would point that out. If I do recall they are an option to get them that way, custom. It helps the short people see that I am making a right turn.

Test Drive - use an Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) or equivalent and monitor engine oil temperature (EOT) and engine coolant temperature (ECT) parameter identifiers (PIDS).
With EOT at 195 °F (91 °C) drive on the highway unloaded at 55-70 MPH (89-113 Km/h) constant speed to observe EOT and ECT temp.

Uh oh, Is there a common theme here, kinda sounds like the 6.0L to test EGR/Oil cooler failure.

What a horrible evening this turned out tobe. We could not wait until this weekend to bring Chewy in. He was failing fast and I was going to be gone the next two days so we had him put to sleep.

Rest In Peace buddy.
