What you really meant to tell him was to buy a 6.7L. My brother talked with a Ford tech couple weeks ago and he has not seen one in his shop yet.

Ok, oil is changed in truck and Des' car. Both got a good dose of synth. oil. I did both and I have no injuries to report, wahooo!

Now it might be nap time, at least for Alissa.

Good afternoon all.

Sorry to hear about Chewy Jay.

Just so everyone knows, no geese or fish were harmed this weekend.

My dad's truck is a 2008 6.4L. We had it regularly serviced and it's been good to us. Large loads feel like nothing behind it. But it only has 20,000 miles or so on it. He just did have to replace the radiator on it and thought that was pretty weird. IIRC there was a crack in it, and it wasn't covered under warranty. So we paid a third of the bill, the dealership paid a third, and Ford paid a third.

Hey there Jake! Paying a third is better then paying all of it.

Chris, i'd key in on the pressure. Those things have major and repeat fuel delivery problems that take out all the injectors.

I'll be honest, I did a lot of research on the 6.4. I won't buy one. I'll wait till the 6.7 is affordable...

I would install a coolant filter. Those motors had same issue as 6.0L as far as coolant contamination goes.

Hey Troy! Yeah, it sure is! But my dad was still pretty steamed about replacing a radiator at 20,000 miles. We're hoping that isn't a regular thing!

Can't hurt to Cory!

I'll probably buy one more newer lower mileage 6.0 in between though. I'll wait till the bugs are out of the 6.7 first.
