High idle is likely the Idle Air Valve.

If all else is good, could be the Neutral/Park Switch. However, if the bulbs don't come on, and power is back there something isn't jiving...

I replaced the #3 spark plug in the Derdge today. It runs better.

Yup, I really do need to find time to get that head gasket replaced.

I got a call from the machine shop and the head on the plastic pile of crap is cracked. Anyone have a cheap Saturn head laying around?

There is 12V at the socket AND the bulbs are good?????

Sounds like the burned out bulb is the one doing the diagnostic work................just sayin'............
