For those that beleive in it..please be careful & watch out for the crazies around you. Keep it safe!
It typically is just another day or even a good day for me! And you watch, because I said something...it'll bring me bad luck. LOL!
I know...same here!
I enjoy meeting new people. Especially with the same interests - FORDS!
It's always great to put a face to the name. Although putting a voice to the name is nice too!
Since becoming a CL, I've had to talk with Steve a couple times. He's been very helpful & is knowledgable in answering my questions or walking me through things step-by-step! Not to mention, he has a cute voice.
(oh...did I say that?)
Well im up early (earlier than normal gotta love college),
time to finish up some hw so i can head to ventura after class and then take the quad and the buggy out with the family this weekend!!
Yepperz Steve is a great guy, he sold me the Ranger I used to have in my sig, and not only did he give me a good price, he towed it all the way up here from Lakewood! BTW Steve, just curious, but are there any lakes in your neck of the woods?
I'm planning to rebuild my rear driveline. Center support bearing and U-joints. I'm hoping that center bearing is not over my head.

Good call. This is what I did. Took it to a driveline shop here in Whittier, and they charged me $17.50 to pull/replace the center bearing, in 15 minutes while I watched. It would have cost me more than that to buy the 33mm impact socket. Now that I've watched them do it, I know that I could have got it done. The nut would have been the hardest part. The yoke easily came off with a few whacks, and the bearing pulled off by hand. It was money well spent to have them do it.
I did the 3 U-joints myself on the arbor press at work.
I remember when Bob (orng1) and I went to check out Terra's truck (remember her? F350SoCalQT...the gal that had the "junk" prints on her windshield?) the guys that she got to do the work had a hell of a time trying to get the bearing off and ended up taking it in to have it done. Their tools as well as their skills were pretty limited, but it definitely looked like more hassle than it was worth to try removing it.
How bad was the center support? Do you notice much difference?

I haven't driven it yet. It was almost dark when I got it all back together. I'm going on a test drive this morning.
I've read reports of them being hard to pull, and others like mine just pull off. I was prepared to use a cut-off wheel to cut through the inner race if necessary. I didn't see any way to get a puller on the thing. I feared the worst, but it would not have been bad. I noticed they drove the new bearing on with a piece of pipe, so they will probably get the job again if there is a next time.
The bearing was fine, but the rubber mount was bad.
The U-joints were okay too, but this one was seeping a little.
