This is what happens when it rains up here. Normally my Bronco would be parked right in front of the gate, but I put it in the backyard just because I knew the rain was coming.
And it goes all the way down the street. Normally my roommate's Toyota is parked in the driveway, which is why I put the Bronco in the backyard.
I'll bet there's more than one joker that hits the puddle and sends a spray up into the yard
Weren't too many hot-rods on the run today, most folks brought their daily drivers . The route was out to Orange (Chapman/Glassell), up Glassell to Lambert with a stop off of Cypress St, over to 7717 Greenleaf in Whittier, down to Moon equipment on Norwalk & Florence, then to Big Boy on Old River School & Firestone in Downey. I won no money Did get to see Ed from PUL as well as Ron & Donna, so it was a good time.
That is cool that you had a good time even though you won no money.
Most people avoid the water by driving on the wrong side of the road the distance from the end of the street and my yard is pretty far for a spray of water to hit it, but some people still try. Most of them however, just stomp on the gas to see how far down the road they can go spinning their tires. Used to think that was cool when I was a teen. Not so cool when I am the one who has to buy the tires. Luckily for Joe (Joe F350) and I, the rain stopped long enough to get down to PicknPull and get a reconditioned battery for the Bronco so it will start now. It looks like it is clouding up again though, getting ready to rain some more.
Yes it was. He did all the heavy lifting as well as helping me get in and out of the back of his GF's Hyundai (I don't think I will ever buy a small car!) for the trip down and back. I stayed up front by the cashier (and the batteries) while he went back looking for a battery cable for his "Panzer". He wasn't lucky this time, but I told him about a local Pick-a-Part and West Coast Truck JY's so he will try those later.
At the end, push another button and it spits out the removed cork.
They're made to be cheap (Amazon has them for $19), but I think this one cost something like $10, so I don't expect long-lasting performance out of it.
