I spent today going through the rear Axle, and rear brakes today.. Everything is new, and it sure drives nice. I had a brake shoe fail, so I figured if I am going to tear it down for the brakes, and new drums... well I might as well go through everything in the rear end...
a) Relocated camera power from on when in reverse, to always on with truck.
2) Fixed trans gauge. Sending unit wires came loose and started dragging on the front axle. It wore down the insulation and eventually through the wires. I cut out the slack and spliced them back together.
3) Cleaned up behind the radio.
a) New back up camera had signal wire long enough to reach head unit. Previous camera had two wires connected together. This was removed in favor of the single wire.
b) USB from radio to center console for iPod replaced. It has been having connectivity issues. It was (apparently) 3 USB cords connected together, with an iPod cord on the end. Upgraded to a single, long USB extension cord which is secured to the center console, and an iPod cord attached there.
