Goodmorning all,

Well it's Wednesday & the week is half over. It's a cold one outside, so bundle up! Listening to the news this morning, they're saying that we'll have snow next Sunday night. BLAH! YUCKY POO POO!
I'm so not looking forward to that, muchless having to stand outside in the snow doing the Polar Express. (I don't have snowboots either) Atleast it's supposed to come on the last day of the Polar Express Event.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

If you're referring to signature/pm capabilities, you'll probably have to log out/in and clear your cookies before the options appear in your user cp.

Give it a little time...the system probably hasn't caught up to your post count yet.

What is it you're looking for? We've got a chapter buy/sell/trade thread at the top of the page that you're welcome to post in...

Good morning all. Snow on Sunday? In December?? No way Donna. Can't have a polar express without snow now can you? I would love to see snow here in the central valley, it would remove half the population, (the half that drive like idiots no matter what the weather conditions) and make things a lot easier for me, unless of course, I was one of the ones taken out by one of those idiots!

Santa's elves aren't gonna' have to be standing around an old drum-barrel to keep warm, are they.

What kind of an impression will THAT make on young, impressionable kids?

Santa's Elves Live Like Hobos!

Grrr. I hate doctors. First he tells me he will snap the knee (it had been held straight for 4 months to help the bones heal) and now, he says he wants me to do 6 months of therapy, and then if it does not have any improved range of motion, he will snap the knee. I have been out of the transitional center since Oct 3rd. I could have 2 months of therapy under my belt by now if that stupid doctor would have made this decision back then.

So 70 years ago this morning the USA was being plunged head long into WWII, with the "dastardly attack on Pearl harbor". have any of you ever talked with your family about where they were, and what they were doing? I would love to hear your stories.... God bless all who remember that day, and those who died at Pearl harbor, and all that fought for this great Country!

Both my parents are dead now, and I don't recall where my dad said he was when he heard the news. However, he was only 11 at the time, and my mom was 5, I don't ever remember my mom talking about it. I do remember dad saying he would never forget the day tho. He joined the Navy, and was a radio operator on the USS Midway. My mom was a cryptographer in Washington DC both during the Korean War. My brother joined the Army to be "like Audie Murphy" And I chose a less physical approach by joining the Air Force. Neither my brother or I saw any war action. I am VERY proud to say my entire family served this great country.

My dad was serving in the Asiatic Fleet as a LT (jg) supply officer on the Destroyer Tender USS Black Hawk (AD-9).

Admiral Hart had the foresight to move most of the fleet from Cavite PI several days previous, so my dad was 100's of miles away on course to Borneo when the attack was announced.
