District over there closed the schools for the day.

Though I usually think they get way too much time off, I'm thinking this is a safety issue with downed wires and falling trees.

Not odd at all...I think it's a nice town that has a reputation with some (usually who have never spent much time there) that is largely undeserved.

oh it deserves it alright; just have to know how to identify classify and repel the local wildlife/pests

Happy windy Wednesday...or Thursday, or whatever day it is. Happy December 1st to all of FTE. No wife, no kids, so my payday all my gifts will go to me, or friends. Have all kinds of leaves on the ground here.

Flew to Wash DC today (I hate wind).
Get this, Burbanks runway is so short they can't carry enough fuel to make it to Dallas in this wind so we had to fly to LAX to get more fuel.

You'd have thought they would have stopped somewhere more in-line like PHX, but it takes fuel to climb aloft, and they don't want to do it twice if they can help it.

That had to eat up an additional hour of everybody's time!
