first time was when i was bringing the camper down from Washington, heat stranded me at the Westley roadside rest area. so i slept/waited until the middle of the night and instead fought the infamous side wind all the way down to Bakersfield.
second time was leaving Desert Hot Springs, got hit by a sudden side blast that almost blew us over. then we fought the heat all the way home, having to stop every half dozen exits or so to cool off. wheeeee!
as long as it isn't over 90*F or windy out everything is fine. hopefully after i get the missing overloads back in it it won't be so hair-raising to drive!

New pics from lastnights Polar Express are posted in my album. I found a picture of the Polar Express Steam Engine before it was put up for the winter too!
Swapped a FICM yesterday - twice. Attended a company dinner where I won a set of 3 ton jack stands and a portable BBQ, and other assorted bag-o-crap stuff. Just got off the phone with a friend of mine. Life long Chevy owner, as well as a former GM employee and son of a career GM employee. Friend Bob couldn't wait to tell me he was the proud new owner of an '06 V-10 Superduty. Took 35 years of friendship, but I finally won him over to the winning side. I hope the truck treats him right.
