I assume the piston is way back in there then. Maybe it is worn out? If it has an oring or a seal, maybe that is leaking pressure?
Regarding the PCM, all I see is kind of like a blank metal piece when I look at it installed behind the emergency brake. The metal piece does wiggle a bit. Like I said before there as a piece of paper on it but it was faded and shredded. Couldn't get anything off of it.

No o-ring or seal in the piston. I havent heard anything about worn out.
Why dont try to pull out that metal piece from the PCM (with the keys in your pocket OK? maybe there is your problem.
I'll see if I can find the piston.
I don't know how to get the metal piece out of the PCM, is is flush, although it kind of looks like there is a metal tab inside.
BTW, doc, congratulations are in order. Your quasi-namesake was just approved for the chemical element at atomic number 111 : https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ki/Roentgenium . We tried to get them to name it RÖENTGEEPium, but for some reason, they declined....

Very good find, I didnt know, but is for me very pleassure that the name came from Wilhem Conrad Röentgen (the X ray discovery 1985), as my nickname came. Now I good like to change my nickname to RÖENTGENIUM because sounds like a Genius (ahemm) and this is another reason: Roentgenium is expected to be even more noble than GOLD.
Okay, I pulled the extra piece out of the FPR and shimmed it with a BB. Started truck up and fuel pressure at idle was jumping around from 60 to about 100. Took truck for a spin and still get CEL when accelerating hard(2500rpms plus).
Get almost home and notice a lot of liquid coming out of my truck. DIESEL! I blew the bottom fuel line that comes out of the FPR! What a mess. I've got fuel all over hell.
Did I build too much pressure or do I have a restriction?

Yes 100 is a lot of pressure, maximum or ideal is 75psi. Its recommended that BEFORE shimm the FPR see what pressure do you have.
The problem was without the BB I only had 10 psi at idle.
I can't believe it went up so much. Maybe I can find a smaller BB. Seems hokie pokie.
Hey will those EBAY lines work? The fuel line that came off my truck was an aeroquip(had a metal tag). Must have been original. It wasn't teflon lined or braided.
Okay, here I am again.
I replaced my fuel lines going to the head and got a new spring for the FPR. While cranking I have 50psi of fuel pressure, but I am now back to a "No Start"! Just where I started this thread weeks ago.
After putting on new fuel lines and the spring, I thought I would be okay.
Since it wouldn't start I again checked voltage going to IPR through the signal wire. It is back at 1.36 volts with Key on, engine off. I have never been able to start truck when the volts are this high. According to Ford's TSB volts should be 0-0.25. I had been getting around 0.36 and the truck would start. I am now officially out of ideas and just really tired.
