CLICK HERE for a reference picture.

You want to add a 3/16 ball bearing to the FPR. Check you Fuel pressure at the schrader valve (bicycle tire looking thing) before and after the mod. It's removed in the picture, just leave it in the FP housing. More than 75 psi may cause trouble. The fuel pressure gage will bounce quite a bit, just use the middle of bounce for you readings. You will see what I mean.

I don't remeber where I got this pict so thanks to the member I stole it from.

awsome pic....worth 1-million words, give or take a few.

I forgot who used a cotter pin....but would you just slide the shaft up inside the spring so the head's poking out? Should I try a bobby-pin?
I dont have any BBs or cotter pins, or a BB gun so im not going to buy a pack of BBs

I wish I could remember who I stole these picts from, Oh well, thanks to the anonymous contributor.

This one could be called adjustable. Use any one of the 3 that are shown.

If I might Hijack this a bit.........
Does shimming make the engine run hotter?
Will a fuel pressure gauge from a gas engine work?
Thanks

You must check the FP w/ the engine running, our PSD's have mechanical pumps.

Shimming the fuel pressure make the engine run better and could make it run a little hotter on the EGT's, nothing to worry about. A good set of gages removes all doubts. You need gages if you are going to mod your truck.

A fuel pressure gage from a gasser will work as long as it goes high enough. The needle bounces alot so you need one that reads ~90+ psi. A dial type bicycle gage will work too but, The bike gage might leak fuel or get trashed though.

I'm going to use a 4X40X.250 socket head bolt...at advise of Dale Isley...or a BB is OK..

Going to check pressure before I stick it in there...I was told I don't need any more PSI than 50-60 PSI...

Talking

I have read that 70 PSI is the magic number, and never more than 80 PSI. and yes, first check it before do anything and after that.

What RPMs are we talking about. I would assume idle.
Does any one have a graph or approximate number for Fuel pressure vs. RPMs.
