Sometimes i forget how lucky we are to have such nice, new equipment. Our oldest truck is a 1991 Gruman, and it's already half way out the door.

Ditto. My new company has a 2002 7.3 as the oldest in service unit. Its not often used. Our primary paramedic use units are all 2005 and newer.

Link doesn't work for me in the FTE forum, but it does if I click it in the email. Sweet pic.

Does anyone use the Paramedic trucks anymore like they did in the 70's and 80's? It just dawned on me recently that I have not seen one in a long time, just the big trucks.

As you mentioned, they are kind of old school. The only dept I know of that widely uses them is LA County Fire, but they have a habit of doing things "Because its always been that way".

Recently an audit of LAFD cited several problems, one proposed solution was this plan, which shows how much hurt their dept is in.

They're around, but not common.

Kern County Engine 64. It is one of 3 brand new engines, the others are Engine 41 and 42.

Hey Sean the front of that crew bus looks awfully familiar.

Hope you stopped to say hi to my dad.

There look to be some minor differences between those two trucks.

Does you dad have a different truck now?

The one is Sean's picture is GAB5, the same one as the rear bus in the picture I posted. You can see "CC38" on the bumper.
