It's a Siebert body conversion. Not sure how much it was stretched.

I just checked my 1952 Hildy's Blue book hoping the Siebert ad would give the wheelbase. No such luck, but they do picture this exact ambulance. Stu

I like the Blue Book. I have the 1954 book. A lot of neat working trucks shown there...

Which one you talking about, the COE three door that I posted about? It's in the southeastern part of South Dakota. Our member Thundersnow70 tracked it down and got the pics that I posted a couple days ago. You might dig back to earlier pages to find it.
Interestingly, I think the same guy has posted about a similar, but nicer, truck. Here's the ad for it that I just saw today.
40 ford cabover crew cab on original marmon harrington chassis
There have been other crew cabs we've posted about so if this isn't the one you're talking about please say. Stu

I don't know why people do this (that stretched out Mustang is just, yeah) but apperantly there are people out there that love to make Station Wagons out of Corvettes, and not just the crappy years, the good C2s...

A few years ago Ilya sent me pictures of that ambulance. It was in I think central CA somewhere. I couldn't find the pictures he sent, I think I lost them during one of my computer crashes.
