Ford cancelled the Uni (Unit-Body) midyear 1963, then installed the 1957/60 bed on F100/250 2WD's.
The 1957/60 Styleside bed is called the "wrong bed" by enthusiasts/owners of 1961/66's, because the bed body lines do not match up to the cab body lines.
Imagine that '57 with a four door cab on it, it'd be like driving a bus. I have a '04 Dodge four door with a 8' box and at times it's fun maneuvering it a tight spot. The extra foot with non-power steering would make that a real beast to park.

Since P/S was not available on F350's until mid-year 1969, all previous F350's can be a beast to maneuver.
The new pile I just bought is 7" short of 20 feet, and it has the 5.5 short bed. Parking isn't too bad...most a the time, cuz I have DP plates, but maneuvering it in tight places can be a real bear.
Backing the pile oughtta my favorite libation store handicap parking place can be a study in futility...back up, cranking the wheel all the way to the left, go forward...repeat the process...a coupla more times.
If the sushi restaurant next door is packed with vehicles...it can be a real b!tch!
