Thanks Havi. It will be more awesome when I get it running. Those photos are from a couple years ago, when we drove it around the driveway only. I'm doing final assembly on a rebuilt flathead 8, some wiring, etc to get it hopefully driveable in a few months (slow project). brakes have been done.

Yeah, they're WMs, but I think Duane already knew that. Just gotta love the truck. Nothing better than traction tires on all corners! Stu

Yeah, I did, from threads a couple years ago. I forget for sure, but you (Stu) may have turned me on to a set of lock ring wheels on ebay, also a couple years ago, which I ended up getting. (No offense if it was someone else-I just do not remember). They will get cleaned up and put on as at least an interim solution. Sounds like 22.5s with radials would be a better long term solution (thanks Chuck for the conversation on those).

Thanks all for comments on the truck.

Duane.

Here's one I'm surprized no one here caught. It was recently sold on eBay, I just found it tonight while searching completed sales.

Ford : F-1 Ford : F-1 | eBay

I don't think there had to be many of this type of body on a F-1 platform, I think most were probably on the F-2 or F-3 chassis. It sold for a pretty decent price I think considering it's rarity, $4,750.98.

Bob,

I think you're right. Not too many were made on the F1 platform. Majority were F2 and F3s.

I just hope some nimrod doesn't turn it into a, (gulp) rat rod. Hopefully the new owner will realize the possible historic significance of the truck. It sure would make some business a nice delivery truck.

Here is a cool truck from Germany I found on the web. It is a 54 and I think it is an F-600. It is a personnel carrier.

Abe's truck triggered my memory of this one. For sale too, but missing its MH front axle. Pretty unusual. Stu

That thing must have looked like an army tank barreling down the road. Hopefully someone will save that one.
