Here are some 1939 & 1940 Ford trucks modified by the famous Derham Body Co. in Rosemont, PA. There are 5 more out there somewhere. VFMA&C doesn't own them anymore. I wonder where they are?

This sign should read Derham not Durham.
That is really neat! The one in the rear looks like it has a closed cab and it is a different year than the others.
Do you think someone has one of these in a garage or barn somewhere in the Philly area?

Here are a few more pictures from various years.
I have no idea where those vehicles went. The one is in a museum near the school in Wayne, PA. The bodies were probably in excellent condition and I think they were used through the late 1950s when they were probably sold in order to obtain more modern vehicles.
Those are used in the North East to fight brush fires - The brush is so thick you cant walk thru it so the truck hauls firefighters and busts a path to the fires.
Barnstable county is on Cape Cod. I lived in New England for six years back in the 60's and 70's. Most of the more rural departments had at least one 'brush truck'. But I never, ever saw one even close to that tough looking. What a Beast!
The replies to the VFMA trucks say there is a museum in Wayne......I live near Wayne Pa, any idea where the museum is?

near Philadelphia
I have been trying to track it down also. Maybe you will have an easier time as you are closer than I am here in Michigan. I did find another reference to that car being shown but it was from a car show in Media, PA in 2010. It appears that the car was owned at that time by the VFW Post 5203 in Malvern, PA. I have tried to track that post down but it appears to be defunct.
The original picture that I received looks like it was taken in a shopping mall. The store 21 Rue is in Exton Square or Pottstown, PA. I can't find out who sent it to me originally.
I'm thinking that if it belongs to a closed VFW Post it may be able to be purchased if we can find it. Alumni of VFMAC would like to buy it back and any others that could be found. Please let me know if you find anything.
