Thanks Ray but I checked that phone number and it isn't working. Google maps shows a church at that address. Also except for obituaries I have not seen any activity for that post for a couple years. I'm going to contact one of my VFW members in a neighboring post to see if he knows anything.
That truck is so cool. I too hope ya find out about it.
I would also love to have it. And a place under cover to keep it out of the weather.
Yes, I agree. There were about a half dozen 1939 & 1940 models built by Derham Body Co. for General Baker at that time. The school sold them in 1952 probably to a local Ford Dealer from whom the VFW Post 1503 bought it. So there are more out there somewhere. I would like to find them.
I believe the "40 Ford was the most popular and coolest looking
body style Ford ever built. So much so that a repop body is available
now. One can build an entire "40 coupe now from repoped parts.
That may also be being done with others as well. I think there is
more "57 Chevs now than was ever built.
Ross, I stumbled onto that one today and was going to post it but found jmadsen had already posted it in May when it was listed on CL. Some of these vehicle will bounce around for months. In fact when I checked out the location I saw it was only about 40 miles from you, I think you should bid on this beaut.
Thanks for posting the Hildy's ad, Bob. I was gonna do it too. Pretty sure I know exactly were that sits outside Moriarty, right on old US66. Sure wish I had a reason to bid on it. Stu
I agree with Bob, you need that project Ross. Heck, I'll even help you drag it back to your place.
Bobby
Sounds like a plan

Stu, come on. Since when did any of us truck guys need a reason to buy a truck? You my friend are disappointing me. You want it, go get it!! I'm sure Bobby would help you load it and Ross would probably even help just so he doesn't have to have Bobby pestering him to buy it.
Someone on this board needs to buy and it might as well be one of you two.
