Ice saws. How dangerous were they? Back in the days before refrigerators became common. Then 14250 Plymouth Road in Detroit became Kelvinators Headquarters and they built the first mass produced, affordable refrigerators there. Everything was shipped by rail. There were huge rail yards running either side of the buildings. Then it became AMC's headquarters and the rails were pulled up and/or paved over. Then after the Chrysler merger it became the famous Jeep & Truck Engineering (JTE) designing and engineering such hits as Grand Cherokee (ZJ), Dodge Ram (2nd gen - BR) Liberty, Wrangler Rubicon and Viper. Employment at the building reached it's peak at 3,300+ people. Now the buildings, all 8 of them, have been torn down. Lots of good things came out of there. https://www.historicdetroit.org/buil...c-headquarters
