What's the turning radius of 53-56 F100? I've seen it on Ford literature but I'd have to look in my stash. I know it is sharper than the 48-52 F-1 and better than any of Ford's competitors.
I like the pinstripe above the trim, to match the bottom. It's a nice detail.
"Built to transport Dave Nettles' dragster and crew. Dave: "I built this thing from a 4 door station wagon & a Ranchero, beginning in about '77, painted it in '81. I stretched the frame 28 1/2", made the rear doors from wagon rear doors (the front 4 or 5 inches) and 2 door sedan doors (the remaining rear section) along with a Ranchero rear half. I actually built it pretty much like building a total loss. The side moldings are factory pieces except the 1/4 panels. They are the rear section of a customline with a piece of the 4 door wagon molding cut to the right length and slid over the customline splice sleeve. Plus I put in a Ford truck power gear, a tilt column, and a well built 460."

Thanks, Ken. That is a cool build. Interesting h ow he made the rear doors and the longer side trim.
I was helping customize a 58 Packard. As part of the process we eliminated the fuel door on the rear quarter panel and moved the filler neck to behind the tail light. The Packard side trim is very similar to the Ford; stainless trim upper and lower with the gold piece filler. Once we removed the fuel door we had to add in about 6" of trim. We sourced trim from another car and had it spliced and welded in then buffed out. All in all in came out really good
