And just to make it all “legal” here, the two guys in your video with the “Chain Break” jerseys on are running a saw powered by a ‘65 Fairlane 289 punched out to 302……..so it is FORD power!

years ago we did firewood and one of the saws was a stihl 088 with a 59 inch blade.
it made fast work of large trees, but was heavy at 22+ pounds. it would wear you out real quick.

That would be a beast. I had a Stihl 056 Super with a 30” bar. My brother said it would put muscles in your poop!

What? Are you new to this group?
We are very easy to send down rabbit holes.
Good thing I’m on my phone or I would lose an hour or two on chainsaws driven with car engines.

I was at a logger museum once where they had a bunch of huge 2 man chain saws, and that's what I was looking for when I stumbled onto the car engined one. That was a new one for me. I can't imagine lugging 700+ pounds of V8 chain saw like those guys, and gals, do. But the history of this amazes me.

What's powering that saw? I see there is something on the back of the truck with a cable or hydraulic hose connected to it.
