Yup, still there...it's a San Fransisco landmark, it's not going anywhere soon!
Last time I ate there was with Karl (Fastmover) Ben (Sierraben) and Adrian (IB Adrian) when Adrian was visiting from Australia before he got the job with IB and moved over here. Good food, for sure. Pretty upscale place. I've always been fond of Fisherman's Grotto #9 myself. But there are so may good places to eat in SF...

At this point, there are very few pirate jokes I haven't heard...though I do like that one and have been known to tell it a time or two!
However, here's my favorite:
A tourist meets an old pirate, and talk turns to his adventures on the sea. The tourist notes that the pirate has a peg-leg, a hook, and an eye patch.
The tourist asks, “So, how did you end up with the peg-leg?” The pirate replies, “We was in a storm at sea, and I were swept overboard into a school of sharks. Just as me mates were pullin' me out, a shark bit me leg clean off!”
“Wow!” said the tourist, “What about your hook”? “Well”, replied the pirate, “We was boardin' an enemy ship and a fierce battle were ragin' hand to hand. One of the enemy took me hand right off with his sword.”
“Incredible!” remarked the tourist. “And what about the eye patch”?
“A seagull were flyin' over and I happened to look up just as a droppin' fell into me eye,” replied the pirate.
“You lost your eye to a seagull dropping?,” the tourist asked incredulously.
“Arr,” said the pirate, “It were me first day with the hook!”

Morning everyone.
Hope your day has started out better than mine. LOL!
GRR...my son woke me up in the middle of a good dream (twice in 15 min.) so that I could make a call to the cshier because he'd be alone & he wanted to go to the store to buy breakfast snacks - donuts, poptarts, basically sweets! Really? I told him I was sleeping & we could go after I woke up & I'd take him since we live on a very busy street, but he didn't want to wait & kept bugging me & shoving the phone into my hand.
I've never seen him move so quick...I bolted outta bed. "Fine! "Are you happy?" I'm F-ing up!" "GO...get the F out of the house NOW!" I really need to buy some sheets of drywall or a punching bag, because I don't have any of my old cars that I used to take my aggressions out on. Ugh... pre-teens & puberty!

Gotta work on my remodel this weekend, Donna. But thanks for the invite. I do like the firefighter museum there in VC. When I visited there a few years ago, the lady at the museum was incredibly knowledgeable about the very interesting history of FDs in VC.

Hey ya'll. I thought that I'd drop in and say howdy after staying low for a long time.
Glad to see that most of the gang is still hangin around and talkin smack.
Oldfords; did I hear that you pulled the pin and retired? If so good deal, I'm still vascillating on that myself, especially since they promoted me above my level of competence.
SInce I returned from AZ. I completed my trailer that I was working on and this spring rebuilt and referbed an '88 Ranger supercab 4x4 that I 'stole' from a nice lady in Sparks. I'll post up build pics when I get a chance.
If anyone gets the opportunity to get up near Lake Almanor give me a holler. It's been really nice, lots of water and still some snow to play in on the north sides.

Hey Rich! Long time no hear from. We gotta go junkin at PicnPull again one of these days. Donna (67Olfthfl) lives very close to where we yanked the engine for Thumper. Remember Carson City PicknPull? She and her hubby live at Moundhouse. We keep talking about a gtg so maybe a day at PicnPull one of these weekends?
Yup, I pulled the plug on my career. But, started another job... Humph, not exactly how I had retirement planned. If I'd have known I'd be going back to work, I probably would have just gone back to the Forest Service to finish out my career for the last four years before they kicked me out due to age. You know, for a little fun before letting go of the legacy... Oh well, it's all good I suppose. I miss the old FS days, wildfires and travel.
