Hi all!
Hope everyone had a fun & safe 4th!
I had a rough night lastnight. Disrespectful preteen pretty much ruined the day. My 12y/o son stayed the night at a friends & stayed up all night watching TV, only to come home & expect to go to sleep - NOT! He did it to himself & we had things to do, so he had to stay awake & deal with it. (all the while complaining & making our lives hell cause we wouldn't let him sleep until about 1pm)We went to a BBQ at our neighbors around 4:30 & I left hubby & the kids there & walked home (2 blocks) at 8 & went to bed around 9pm. They came home shortly after 9. We didn't even watch the fireworks!
UGH...what a day.

I started out trying to install a new floor in the down stairs of our house but found some water damage under the old floor... Uh oh. So my forth of July was spent weed whipping and raking pine needles in the morning (defensible space), then when it got hot I came in and recorded some music in my little home studio, since I had the house to myself. Much cooler in the house, rather than outside in the sun. Then, the wife came home from town and decided to drag me out to Carson Valley Inn for dinner and a little playing on the slot machines. I could have easily done without the slot machines, but at least they didn't put me in the poor house for the week, this time.

p.s., I spoke to Bruce briefly this morning. The reception was terrible and lost the call just after greeting eachother, then he was gone. I was on my way to work and almost there so I didn't try to call back. I'll try him tomorrow on the way to work again.
