Hey everyone. Hope your July is going well. I spent July 1st driving to Concord to pick up a new gas grill in my pickup. I think the F250 with a 390 was a bit over kill for carrying it back to my house, but the new grill wouldn't fit in any of my cars.
I have a general question, how many cubic yards of compost, soil, bark chips, etc. would an 8ft bed hold using a tarp to cover it? I will have to get up to 60mph while hauling it. I am not worried about the weight as much as the stuff spilling over. Any guesses? I've hauled 1-1.5 cubic yards before and it was getting kind of full.
As for July 4th plans, just going to grill some stuff and try to keep cool. Even though it is a holiday for work, I have a few projects I will have to work on to stay caught up. It is a really busy time at the drug factory, but should let up in late September. I hope to take some time off in October.
Some of you may know that I am a semi-pro photographer. The "semi" part means I am too lazy or chicken to take the plunge and make it a full-time career.
Here are a few photos I took while using my truck as a prop. The first two of are of fellow photographer and model Jacqui. The second one is another photographer/model, Andrea. Both were great to work with. Andrea is planning a '67 Mustang restoration with her dad in the future.
Hi Karl.
I think your pictures turned out great! It sounds like your weekend is kinda like mine... work & play! I went to my rental house & did a lil' bit of painting today, cleaned the refrigerator, & fed/watered my horse. Then it was play time....taking the dirt bike out on the trails. Tomorrow we have family in town, but we're going to a friends house for BBQ & then to Virginia City for fireworks (i hope). I want to be where the action is!
Hope you have a great 4th of July!
Hot day in the Bay Area - 94 in Vallejo. I am sure that is cooler than most other California places though. Would be a great day to take a dip in Tahoe.
