Thanks, and yes we have a glimpse at how quickly the time goes. Our oldest is the other boy and he will be 12 at the end of September and it seems like yesterday that he was born. We span 12 down to 4 with our crew!
I have 4 kids too.... my oldest is 39 and the youngest is 29. They grow up fast for sure. One thing they always remember... gettin' dirty or gettin' wet! Still makes us smile.
I caught this beautiful restored old Spartan going down the highway Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a better pic. Where do people find this stuff !?
I sure do like my slides... room is your friend when it's raining.
My wife will not look at one without slides, square footage is your friend.
It is so hard to find sites nowadays around here, so many Covid campers were sold. Just waiting (fingers crossed) for these new owners to get tired of the maintenance, insurance and storing of the RVs for the demand to lessen. Dump stations can be as entertaining as boat ramps, new owners are completely lost when it comes to a stinky slinky.
Camping is one of the few things our benevolent government allows people to do that is actually 99% normal. Shhhh, better not let a Governor hear me say that or we'll have a mask order for sitting around the campfire to protect us from the smoke!

Agreed. Always thought the camper would be a good bug out machine but when the country locked down, everywhere was closed and gated I started to think differently. I am glad I live in the country and didn't have to stay bound up in a small area like a city home or apartment.

Having both.... a 23' boat I trailer to the boat ramp and a 27' travel trailer, I can attest to the accuracy of your statement. However I often become a good Samaritan.
The ones that attach the fender skirts, specifically. I also noticed the cover for the outside grill were backing out. My first trailer (2619 TrailManor) was five years old when I purchased, I spent an entire morning tightening every screw and fastener I could find.
You expect a camper to stay together? I look at mine as needed and when I check seals. Need to do that again. My biggest problem is sun fading or oxidizing my darker brown, no matter what I try nothing lasts.
With so many vehicles to maintain I let the wife tell me what needs to be done inside the camper. I know of a couple of things but really all in all my Surveyor is holding up, paint and A/Cs have been the biggest disappointment.
FINALLY!!! Sheesh! Haven't been camping since 2018 due to the Cummins Conversion and it was sorely needed. Wen't down the Murphy, NC over the long weekend and had some great fun. Stayed at Crawford's Campground, which was nice, but the sites are a little close together for our taste. And they're all grass. That's not terrible unless it rains (thankfully it didn't). Campfires and bingo and great food all around. Also did a couple of hikes around the area which was nice. The doggos did great as usual on both hikes. One was right around Murphy and I got to take the X up what I can only describe as an old logging road. Straight up hill, lots of loose rocks, ditches, plateaus. Probably the worst off road experience it'll see, and everything went great. First hike was only 2 miles but the second one was right around 7 and 3200 feet elevation gain. That one got the blood pumping. All the kids (ages 6-21) did fine and the older ones didn't complain too much. I absolutely LOVE the North GA mountains. Had a few mechanical snafu's which I'l detail in my build thread, but overall a VERY nice towing experience from the 12V performance, gear changes, and suspension (ride quality). One handed pretty much the entire time loaded and no issues whatsoever, even through the very narrow two lane curvy mountain roads. Great times were had by all and I can't wait to get at it again! Maggie never skips the opportunity to lay down in some water. Milo was a good boy around camp, even though I'm convinced he has doggy ADHD. Overlook on the Miller Trek A little Greek chicken for the crew on the last night. I need one of these Blackstones Felt like camp was a little disorganized, but we'll get it dialed in. And the little kids found some wildlife!
