My driveway has a downhill incline severe enough that I anchored a 1 1/2" eye bolt into the slab, and run a 10k# ratchet strap around my rear TH axle to secure it. Add dedicated wheel chocks, and X chocks between the tires, and I have complete confindence in it.
That big strap is last off, and first on when hitching/unhitching from the truck.
Dexter makes backing plate assemblies with parking brakes. They will fit other major brand axles as well. Thinking about putting a set on my newly ordered cargo trailer.
Has anyone parked their TT on an inclined driveway? If I could figure this out(how to accomplish it safely), I could save $95/month...It may even pay for our 3 times a year to Banning.... I pulled out one side of one of the stabilizing jacks getting out of his(a new storage place and first time taking it out), for lack of a better word, "driveway", so don't really want to park it there any more.. And I think I may have a mouse somewhere(I would guess from the storage yard). It got into our bread in a drawer this weekend at the KOA.
Yes! I did for a few years until my back yard got straightened around. My driveway drops 9 feet over a 40 foot span. Chocked the wheels and lowered the tongue all the way down! I never had an issues.
HAs to be squeeky clean, even in cabinets and stuff. They'll always find something to eat. Insulation, paper towels.. you name it. Set some traps w peanut butter.
William, you run the dunes? Dude, how come you never made it out to the NorCal - SoCal GTG at Pismo?

I watch the thread every year, and it's always tempting.Always will be. The 6.5 hr drive for a weekend is a bit daunting. We'd have to make a week of it to make it happen.
And, we're a ridiculously rowdy bunch in the sand. I'd hate to have to ask you to call in a favor. The San Bernardino County Sheriffs at Dumont are used to the shenanigans. God bless em. Always creating memories.

Moving the TT today about 60 yards. This is the two week "fall campout" at our local state park. The park books 6 months in advance for the two weeks. We we down Sunday and will be staying until the 17th. However, we canceled the first 4 days we had booked and decided to grab a walk-in site before we move to our actual booked site because the weather has been so good. Will try to remember pictures this go around.

So tonight is the first night I have had the heater on, its 47°. For those that dont know, we started full timing it in the trailer in June. I am curious to see how we handle the winter.
