Bill and Carol dropped by today to see what we do sometimes as a fundraiser for the Springers. Carol found a few things she just HAD to have, and they supported our efforts with a purchase!

We enjoyed seeing you folks, Pop. Thanks for all the info about the group. We can see that you are passionate about the great work you do. A nice booth setup too.
We watched the jumping dogs, the swimming dogs, and the police dogs. In the K-9 demo, they had one officer who was a small framed guy wearing the bite sleeves, and I think the dog might have outweighed him. The dog hit him hard and knocked him off his feet, and he was too close to one of the set props so he tripped over that. It put him in a vulnerable position. But other than a scratch on his neck from hitting the plywood prop he was okay.

I'd have thought it would be scabbed over, or at least a little swollen by today. Maybe they don't do that these days with the newer inks and stuff.

One of the top fuel rounds ran a 3.85 and the first 3 cars were seperated by 8.4 inches total! the 4th car wheel spun just off the line! Mind you that is a collective with 4 cars of around 32,000 hp total and 3 of them running right under 320 mph.. 0-100 mph times in 0.8 seconds!
