I painted my plow school bus yellow (w/finest paint brush Ace had to offer). Thought it was cool at the time. Can't say it made a difference to the snow though... Need to find a pic of that fine blade (officially a moldboard?).

Check your other thread, must go back to mesopotamia and the first models. I think the moldboard is the curved part that moves the snow or (soil) over. Wiki has a nice history. I see small versions of your plow on PCH cleaning up the rock slides around Malibu.
