I had to go in for a little while. There's only 3 of us left at my shop, when we had almost 200 employees a year and a half ago. Business is really bad in Vegas. I have nothing to complain about.
A guy over in 7.3-land is looking for a mobile 7.3 wrench-twister in Riverside. I told him to post again over here, and that maybe someone here might be interested. His is a no-start, so a trip to Bud's isn't going to be practical, unless it's on a flatbed...
I'm sort of going backwards here to the 1st.. but, well, my connection sucks over here.
Something I like doing to people's computers... Move the mouse off the screen so all you see is the normal desktop. Snap a screen shot. Make that the new wallpaper. Then turn off the desktop icons. So.. it LOOKS like they're still there, but they're just a picture that do nothing as they spend time clik click CLICKing away... fun stuff.. and harmless.
I've got a noise in my truck that's driving me bonkers (I know, short drive)
I have eliminated the consoles and glove boxes. Drove around with the wife and we agree it sounds like it is behind the dash.
Make a left turn and it sounds like something sliding over and clunking. Then doesn't do it until you make a right turn and it slides over the other way. Will go back and forth with alternating turns. It is louder when the big glove box is left dangling down. I think it is in the center to the passenger side. Wife thinks center, I think far side, so somewhere not in front of the driver.
Any ideas? Other than taking the whole dang dash apart?
I know about the sway bar clunks, but it sure doesn't sound like it is under the truck. Could it be?
