Guys. My dealer has had my truck for the past 3 days. They ordered a new NOX box and NOX sensor. Drive it around for a bit and the CEL came back on. The tech called Ford and they wound up doing some air box calibration and no CEL. The tech drove it for 2 days doing different errands and drove it home last night (my permission) and for errands today. No CEL. I just picked her up an hour ago.
Just wondering if you pulled the 21k 5er with the F-350 dually prior to trading it off? Also, what kind of 5er did you get? I saw one from Canada last year at my local Ford dealer that was a tandem axle dually. I think it weighed in around the 21k mark. Is that what yours is? Sorry you had to unload the Ford at a loss.
Hi,
The new Toy Hauler is a 2012 Excel Wild Cargo W41GKE. Was planning to use the F350 to pull it but just didn't work out. I pulled my old 5er 14200 GVWR out to a storage yard.... that was it. The toy hauler has three 7K 8 bolt axles with 17.5" tires and disk brakes. I think the Dually Tandem you saw was something like this....really nice 5er.
There sure are some nice ones out there. I don't recall the brand of the one I saw. I remember it had a freakin electric porch on it. Couldn't believe it. Looks like the one you picked out is a thing of beauty too. Good luck with your travels.
I have it registered a a private passenger vehicle and just requires a standard drivers license here in Canada. The truck also has hydraulic brakes so no air "Q" ticket required. I sold my 2005 fifth wheel last weekend and hauled it to the guys place about 300 miles away. Haven't checked the mileage yet but I'm guessing 9-10 mpg with trailer on.
sounds like the same thing with mine..They replaced my DEF pump, works great now also I noticed that the cleaning exhaust does not come on as often - It seems this is an ongoing problem.
Well after almost 6 months im proud to say my truck is finally fixed!! Its been 2 days now and no CEL!! The best part is i have all my PONIES back!!!! On the downside i suppose im finally going to start using some DEF but i will take that any day as long as the light stays off! Its a great day to be a Ford Truck owner again, and thanks to all of you who posted advice along the way it was truely helpful!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!
Hey Guy's,, I am new to this site ,so I am a little late on some info you have presented. However, I have the same problem with my 2011 F-250 Stupid Duty. My light has been on for over 2 months and the dealer has no reason for not being able to reset it. Total loss of power. A real pain when you farm and depend on your truck. I have just passed the 4,000 mi mark and this has been a problem since day one !! BUT, the important fact you need to know is I have had a catastrophic Brake Failure. Resulted with an accident and damage to my new truck and my dump trailer. The downhill decent will not let you come to a sudden stop if engaged. I have notified the dealer 4 times on this problem to no avail. This problem was from ten miles to current and the dealer nor Ford Motor will acknowledge it is a problem. I would like to know if anyone else has had a problem stopping the 250's ?
