I thought it was an 85-86 judging by the pinstriping but it was still hard to tell.
Was it involved in an engine fire or is the front clip severely rusted?
All original hood and cowl, they look to be aftermarket fenders that were simply slapped on and forgotten (never primed or painted). It really is a pretty solid truck and I don't know how long it's been sitting back there for. My buddy called and told me about it thinking I might be interested (apparently I'm the orphanage for wayward and unwanted Bullies).
And here's this gem... at least it was the first time I saw it. He replaced all the front sheet metal on it since I last saw it, not sure why. It's a bit mismatched now, but it was one of the cleanest original stock trucks rolling around here (even has the upper tailgate trim). Also, I guess this is how my phone takes action pictures... hmm, does that give the illusion of speed or what? Too bad the pic doesn't do it justice... next time I guess I'll just stop.
We need more pics in here guys... I've been saving some for later dates to keep this thread going!
There are at least three or four 7th gens around town in my area, I'll try to snap a few pictures if I remember to. One popped up on craigslist about a week ago, same price as I got mine for and in better shape, but that's irrelevant.
Stopped by one day to see if the owner wanted to sell. Supposedly he wanted to "give" it to me for "free" whenever he finds the title. A year later and no such luck yet. I think he likes it as a yard ornament. Story is, he bought it to transport lumber and one day the motor started knocking so he parked it. So there she sits rotting into the ground and I have to see it every time I look out into my backyard.
I have a chance to buy a for an 84 f250 6.9 desiel for around 4k. havnt looked at it yet othere than pics, but anyone have input on the 6.9? I know nothing about them.
There you go, Displacement. With dually fenders on the back, you could fit some huge drag slicks under your rig without narrowing the rear end. They'd let you really hook up and plant all that big block power on the ground.
Now that would be cool and unusual.
That is one clean truck! The price seems a little high for a gas engine but it is at a dealership. I only paid $4500 for mine at a dealer. And it's a F250.
