I was able to get down to Industrial Chassis and TIG weld the new pieces in the upper window frame on Friday, Thanks Steve! Came back and finished the rear big window conversion on Saturday.

From the drivers side all full welded including the roof seam.

From the passenger side

Inner Drivers

Inner Passenger

And the reinforcement shelf across the back of the cab.

I use Evercoat Eurosoft Polyester Glazing Putty to fill the weld seams and low spots.

More to come.

Yes Bill, the headliner for the big window is a one piece unit. We will do something custom for a headliner to meet the 60s theme.

Eric was by today and dropped off the bed and a bunch of parts. We decided to do a one piece aluminum headliner with beading.

There needs to be a lot of work to the bed done. New tubs are ordered and i will be placing a new floor about 6 inches higher than the old floor level.

He also dropped off the tailgates for modification, a stock 64 to 66 and a early bronco. i will be moving the broncos ford section to the 64 66 tailgate.

I should be able to get the cab ready for paint after this weekend.

More to come.

No, just the lettering the rest will be blank. Plate is to go in the center of the uni roll pan.

I will be sick cutting it up. It is a nice gate. The 66 gate needs a ****load of work to get straight.

DC could make a mint just selling the small letters stamping on flat sheet.

There is more work in the bed and tailgate than on the cab.

Was able to strip down the 292 and clean and paint it.

Before

After

Engine will have Chrome valve covers a dark silver powder coated intake and T stat neck. We will be covering the carburetor with a modified 50s caddy air cleaner painted bright white same as the interior. I will also paint the accessories and brackets a satin black.

The bell was sent to an engine shop to be cooked to clean the years of wax buildup off of it, should have that and all the blasted accessories back tonight or tomorrow to finish.

Once the engine and trans is back in the frame i will work on the brake and fuel lines.

More to come.

Well, I was able to get more done to the Ratrod build this week.

Mated the bell.

Cleaned and painted the transmission.

Installed some Stainless Bling on the engine. Totallay Staniless provided a full Y block kit.

Placed the engine in the chassis.

Installed the transmission.

Bolted on some accessories.

And placed the cab on the frame. It will come back off in a week as i needed to move everything to have a new roof installed on my house.

Kinda Low? Currently 9 inches at the rockers.

Eric the owner of the truck checking her out.

Mocked the lakes pipes in place.

Floor pan cleared the trans with the modifications made.

Shot from behind with the bed and big window.

More to come.

Nice

I love the lakewood pipes.

Are they going to be hooked up or just dummies?
