The Ford GT isn’t a road car. It wasn’t built to be a road car. It was built to be a racecar that would head back to the famed 24 hours of Le Mans and take the fight to Ferrari and Corvette once again.

Before the days of purpose-built trucks such as garbage trucks, milk trucks, and all manner of different trucks, Ford made one truck that had the ability to become everything and anything anyone would want.

Cars turned into trucks isn’t exactly a new thing. Australia has been doing it for years with Utes. However, here in America, the trend really never caught on.

For years, Ford of Britain has helped shape the company’s lineup of cars. While that might not seem to be the case in regards to previous generations of the Mustang and F-Series pickup, the overseas part of Ford has definitely had a hand in creating much of the Ford lineup throughout the company’s history.

The Ford Raptor is now a few years old, and the company is hard at work creating the next generation for 2017.
