Firestone Air Bags came today. Looks like I have a weekend project. They say I can do it without jacking it up and taking the tires off, but I don't see how.

i have done them on our 550 chassis (motorhome), and it CAN be done, but taking the tires off really doesnt take much effort or time, and makes the install very easy.

dont forget to check for air leaks before you go down the road.

It may not be hard, but without a jack or stands to pick it up, it may be. Oh yeah, or a firm level surface to jack it up either. I may have to do it at the towing shop down the hill. I hate asking him for anything. It always seems like he is really busy, and the only flat bay blocks most of his lifts. I always feel like I'm in the way.

I can't wait until I get my own garage built.

Can they wait until next weekend and are you willing to drive to East haven? This weekend I'm going to a NADM thing in PA but next I can give you a hand and your truck may even fit inside my shop. If not it'll definitely fit on the concrete pad outside it.

I'm not in any hurry to do it, as I'm sure I don't even need them. I'm not even on the helpers. The problem I hope it will alleviate, is the helper is tickling the stop, and it makes a racket going over bumps. I'm trying to get some clearance between them. I can do it whenever. I'll take you up on it if I don't break down before then. I will warn you, my sister-in-law is coming to stay at my house this weekend. I may need an out.

Ok well if you do you do just wanted to give you the option of a 2 bay shop my father owns that I've got full access and keys to and an extra set of hands.

No lift or anything fancy but a good compressor, air tools, and a decent selection of tools.
