I guess it's for the best to tow it home then. What all needs done on the brakes? I HATE the DMV, haha. It's just a horrible place to have to deal with. Just aweful. Kinda like this...

Hey, my wife works at DMV, and she is at LEAST 10lbs lighter than any girl in that picture.

Oh, and I have a predator in the garage, if you want to try it.

Wouldn't that carb be a little big for my truck?

I do agree that the elevation is gonna be a hell of a kick in the pants for my truck. The EFI is a decent idea, but at that point, I can go buy a full truck with EFI, without some of the rust of my truck, and be all set for about the same price as the swap. Although, I don't know what the junkyard "kit" would be like. Not to mention, I would have NO idea what I was doing with that.

Hi guys.
All the talk about carbs brings back memories.
Now I prefer compression ignition.

I do them for about $75-80.
If my truck was gas it would get about 1/2 the MPG's.

I got it for my friends F100 w/ a 302.

He wrecked the truck before it was installed.
Now I'm looking at my $ sitting in a cabinet.

Holley 0-4412c 500CFM Factory Refurbished Carburetor : eBay Motors (item 360278510588 end time Jul-12-10 06:01:18 PDT)
i like this one. mainly because it should bolt right up in place of your current 2bbl. you could put a 4bbl on no problem, but its not needed. you can get 500hp out of one of these 500cfm 2bbls.
to make it better for the jarring and angles of off-roading, you can fab up an overflow pipe like the truck avenger has, racers where doing it themselves long before holley started doing it.

Aaron, I have the 1bbl remember? For any upgrade, I have to either get an adapter plate, or upgrade my intake. The latter being the cheaper, the former being the more power friendly.

Oh man Jim, don't you hate when that happens! Sorry to hear that for your purchase, and for your friends truck. Hope everybody was alright.

Won't any of the options require that I upgrade the ignition, or no?
