Since your truck is a 86 you'll need to get rid of the feedback carb system and go to the old duraspark II if you want to swap carbs. You'll have to steal the wiring harness out of an older truck. I think 83 and older. Painless Performance: DuraSpark II Ignition Harness painless has this kit but its to the covert from the older points. You could hack this one up. You also need to get a duraspark II distributor.

Predators have a variable venturi design. They deliver between 600-930 CFM depending on the air intake of the motor.

When I first started off road racing, I used that carb on a mostly stock 302. All the motor had was an intake, headers, and Mallory ignition.

These guys have the adapter plate you'll need if you want to run the 2 bbl carb. : Classic Inlines Home and Parts Index

If you want you can steal engine parts off my '83. It's not moving anytime soon and I want to build a V8 for it anyways.

Anybody know of a good upholstery shop? My headliner is coming down and I've heard that Redan is overpriced. Deb's on the pike looks like it closed, that is where I was gonna try.

Redan is way overpriced. Last time I used Debs, they did good work and priced resonable. I think its just hit or miss to find when they are open.
