Since your truck is a 86 you'll need to get rid of the feedback carb system and go to the old duraspark II if you want to swap carbs. You'll have to steal the wiring harness out of an older truck. I think 83 and older. Painless Performance: DuraSpark II Ignition Harness painless has this kit but its to the covert from the older points. You could hack this one up. You also need to get a duraspark II distributor.

Aaron, I have the 1bbl remember? For any upgrade, I have to either get an adapter plate, or upgrade my intake. The latter being the cheaper, the former being the more power friendly..
